Yesterday, after his nap, Eric comes to me and says, "Want Cookie." To which I respond, "I'm sorry, we don't have any cookies." (I have to confess that isn't entirely true, but I am saving them to make other cookies with...) Then he says, "Go to store, buy cookies."
He really wants a cookie! Luckily I could tell him that his Papa has the car at work so we can't go to the store to buy a cookie, because we have no car. Problem solved, right?
A minute later, he comes back and says, "use bicycle." Problem two ways - we don't have a way for Eric to ride the bike with me. Second, it's FREEZING. Our high was 31 yesterday. Low was half that. I was not about to bike to the store with my 2 year old to buy him a cookie! However, I realized that he REALLY wanted a cookie.
Luckily he settled for Animal Crackers. (Or as we call them Animal Cookie Crackers.)
What a problem solver he is!
